How are you finding it? Do you feel it is better than Vista or not? What features do you like/dislike in particular?

I'm using it. I find it a lot cooler than Vista because of the theme option but other than that I can't really tell a difference.

I used Windows 7 all the way through its time as a Release Candidate. Once it was released on the shelves, I uninstalled. It was quite a good operating system, the best thing I've seen come out of Microsoft in years, and SO MUCH better than Windows Vista. But I've been using Mac for quite a while now, and I've never been happier with an operating system.

I do wonder why they brought out another OP in such a short time after Vista. I really think they should have worked more on Vista implenting Windows 7 rather than another one. But what do I know? th_whistle.gif

There are a few ways to respond to your point, Maria. Firstly, you're right - in theory, they should of worked on improving Vista, helping to correct the faults in the operating system that so many people paid their hard-earned cash for. On the other hand, by this point, Windows Vista has developed such a bad name for itself, and the underlying coding and features were so contradicting and difficult to use, that it seemed much easier and better for everybody to just start again. I'm glad they've got Windows 7 right, but that doesn't help the people who have already paid lots of money to buy Windows Vista.
