I know they are only soaps but I find some storylines when actors or actress's take time out either for a break or having a baby, the storylines are just not factual enough. I feel that more emphasis could be created for better storylines for why they are written out for a period of time.

For instance we got Debbie from Emmerdale coming up whom is pregnant in real life. She is talking about leaving the villiage to work abroad, which would mean uprooting her child from school and her family and all because her parents are squabbling. All she has to do is kick them out of her house. But I feel more thought could have been put into that storyline.

Do you feel sometimes when an actor or actress leaves for a short while that their storylines aren't written well enough for us as an audience for it to be more creative and believable enough?

Well what is even stranger is when one of those characters leave they don't come back even for their sons wedding or a funeral of a love one, which is totally ridiculous because you would try and make things like that in real life.. lookaround.gif

Yes, totally. yes.gif Also like when Owen got killed, nobody mentioned him for around 2 months, only just recently. If he was my Dad and I got close to him again like Libby did, and he just disappeared then I would have said something sooner.

If the soap writers want to make it more realistic then they will have to start thinking more logically.
